NBFC (Non Banking Financial Companies) are RBI-registered institutions that involved in financial activities like loans, investments or hire-purchase. To qualify as an NBFC, a company's financial assets should be more than 50% of its total assets and financial income should be more than 50% of its total income. Unlike Banks, NBFCs are not allowed to provide current and saving deposits and do not take part in payment and settlement system
