About Voltas

Voltas Limited is a multinational company that makes and sells home appliances and provides engineering solutions. The company was formed on September 6, 1954, in Mumbai through a partnership between Tata Sons and the Switzerland-based Volkart Brothers. Voltas is one of India's largest air conditioning companies. Among these, Pantnagar handles the production of room air conditioners and commercial refrigeration products. Waghodia specialises in commercial air conditioning while Sanand is dedicated to Voltas Beko for home appliances. The factory in Sanand has a remarkable production capacity of 1 million units.

Voltbek Home Appliances Private Limited (Voltbek) is a joint venture, equally shared between Voltas and Araelik - a major household appliance manufacturer in Europe.
