HDFC Bank revises domestic lounge access policy for Tata Neu Infinity and Plus credit cards

HDFC Bank has revised its lounge access policy for Tata Neu Infinity and Tata Neu Plus credit cardholders, aimed at promoting higher card usage. As per the new rules, users will not be able to directly access domestic lounge access by swiping their credit cards at lounges. Instead, lounge vouchers will be issued to eligible customers on the basis of their quarterly card usage. The new rules are effective from June 10, 2025.

“Complimentary lounge access on direct swipe-off is discontinued effective midnight of 09-Jun-2025 23:59:59 hrs. With the discontinuation of complementary visits, customers can still avail lounge directly using the Credit card on Chargeable basis as per the rates applicable and communicated by the lounge staff,” HDFC Bank stated in a classification document to the public.

HDFC Bank’s new lounge access rules

From June 10, lounge access vouchers will be given to the customers based on their spending milestones. One domestic lounge access voucher will be awarded to Tata Neu Plus HDFC Bank Credit Card users who have spent at least ₹50,000 in a calendar quarter (January-March/April-June/July-September/October-December), while two domestic lounge access vouchers will be given to the Tata Neu Infinity HDFC Bank Credit Card users who have spent at least ₹50,000 in a calendar quarter.

This means that Tata Neu Plus HDFC Bank Credit Card users can avail 4 complimentary domestic lounge vouchers per year, while Tata Neu Infinity HDFC Bank Credit Card users can avail 8 in a year.

If you have qualified for the benefit (after completing the milestone), you will receive an SMS and email about the voucher details. To claim the benefit, you must visit the link received in the SMS/email, log in and claim the voucher within 120 days of qualification. Once claimed, you can use the lounge voucher within 180 days from the issuance.

“On meeting the spends criteria of ₹50,000 or more in a calendar quarter, you’ll receive an SMS and email (on your registered mobile and email ID) within 30 working days, with a link to claim the lounge voucher. All communications pertaining to the eligibility for rewards and the details regarding membership claims shall be managed and sent by GyFTR,” HDFC Bank said.

Existing benefits

Currently, Tata Neu Infinity HDFC Bank Credit cardholders get 2 complimentary domestic lounge accesses every quarter, 8 for the whole calendar year. A nominal fee of ₹2 is charged for lounge entry (for VISA or RuPay cards). Similarly, Tata Neu Plus HDFC Bank Credit cardholders get 1 free domestic lounge access every quarter, 4 in a year, and a ₹2 fee is charged.
