The Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) recently revised the timelines for the preparation and completion of the Annual Performance Assessment Report (APAR) reports of employees in the Central Civil Services (CCS).

APAR for central government employees is the equivalent of annual appraisals in the private sector.

The modified timelines will be effective from Reporting Year 2024-25, according to the DoPT's office memorandum dated April 9, 2025.

What is the revised timeline?

According to DoPT's office memorandum, the distribution of blank APAR forms will be completed on April 1, and the entire APAR process will end by November 30. That said, following is the new APR timeline for CCS employees:
