VA Tech Wabag shares: Shares of VA Tech Wabag, the leading water treatment company, rallied as much as 13.4% to ₹1,550 apiece on the NSE on Monday, February 10, on the back of December quarter (Q3 FY25) results and a large order win.

The company, in its investor presentation, said that its consolidated profit after tax (PAT) stood at ₹70.2 crore, up 11.6% year-on-year (YoY), while EBITDA or earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation, for the quarter under review came in at ₹105.1 crore, up 6.3% YoY.

However, its EBITDA margin dropped to 13% from 14% registered in the year-ago period.

Its revenue increased by 15.1% YoY to ₹811 crore.

VA Tech Wabag's order intake during the December quarter jumped 525.4% YoY to ₹2,781.3 crore.

For the nine months ended December 2024, order intake stood at ₹5,075 crore, up 188.1% YoY, while revenue soared 11.2% YoY to ₹2,137.8.

EBITDA rose by 10.8% YoY to ₹289.4 crore while PAT came in at ₹195.8 crore, up 13.2% YoY.

VA Tech WABAG wins order in Saudi Arabia

VA Tech WABAG on Sunday (February 9) said it has secured a consortium order worth USD 371 million (about ₹3,251 crore) from Al Haer Environmental Services Company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The order is for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 200 MLD Independent Sewage Treatment Plant (ISTP), including connections to outfall delivery facilities, WABAG said in a statement on Sunday.

This ISTP is being developed by a consortium of Miahona Company (lead), Marafiq, and N.V. Besix S.A. for its off-taker, the Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC), it said, adding that SWPC is the principal off-taker for water and wastewater projects in Saudi Arabia.

Early this year, WABAG secured an engineering and procurement order for a 20 MLD industrial wastewater treatment plant at Ras Tanura Refinery Complex, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where Miahona Company is the project developer, it said.

MLD stands for megaliters per day.

This ISTP is part of the Kingdom's 'Vision 2030', which aims to provide reliable sewage treatment services and improve the quality of life for residents in the Kingdom.

Sivakumar V, Regional Head of Sales and Marketing, said the order "marks another significant milestone for us in Saudi Arabia and reinforces our leadership position in the Middle East".
