Upper circuit stocks today: Senco Gold, Borosil Renewables and Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri were locked in 5% upper circuit

Indian equity benchmarks fell 1% lower in late morning deals, pressured by Realty, IT and Tech stocks, amid uncertainty surrounding Donald Trump’s impending tariff announcement.

NIFTY50 traded at 23,196 322 points or 1.3% lower, and SENSEX fell by nearly 1000 points.

The broader NIFTY Midcap 100 and Smallcap 100 fell nearly 1%, slightly better performing than the benchmark indices. Sectorally, all the indices traded in the red, except for NIFTY Media. On the other hand, Realty, IT, and Consumer Durable were the top losers, with losses of up to 3.3%.

Despite the weakness, the broader breadth of the market remained strong and in favour of advances. 1,625 stocks traded in green against 1,062 out of 2,760 stocks that traded on the NSE on Tuesday. Similarly, 201 stocks hit the upper circuit as against 38 in the lower circuit.
