Top gainers and losers on May 19: Infosys, Grasim, Eternal fall over 2%, check full list

SUMMARY

Delhivery was top gainer in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index. The stock closed 10.14% higher at ₹353 after it turned profitable in fourth quarter of financial year 2024-25 as it reported a net profit of ₹73 crore against loss of ₹68 crore in the same period last year.

The Indian equity benchmarks ended Monday's lacklustre session lower dragged down by losses in index heavyweights like Infosys, Reliance Industries, Eternal, Tata Consultancy Services, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and Larsen & Toubro. For most part of the day, benchmarks traded in a narrow range with SENSEX oscillating in range of 300 points. The SENSEX ended 271 points lower at 82,059 and NIFTY50 index declined 75 points to close at 24,944.

NIFTY50 top gainers and losers

Eternal was top loser in the NIFTY50 index, the stock fell 3.06% to close at ₹238. Grasim (-2.90%), Infosys (-2.01%), Tata Consumer Products (-1.54%) and Dr Reddy's Labs (-1.23%) were also among the losers.

On the flipside, Bajaj Auto was top gainer in the NIFTY50 basket of shares, the stock rose 4.10% to close at ₹8,830 on the back of heavy trading volumes. As many as 31,000 shares changed hands on the BSE compared with an average of 9,452 shares traded daily in the past two weeks.

Shriram Finance (1.85%), Power Grid (1.35%), Hero MotoCorp (0.89%) and Bajaj Finance (0.88%) were also among the gainers.

NIFTY Midcap 100 gainers and losers

NIFTY Midcap 100 index advanced 0.08% or 45 points to close at 57,105. As many as 52 shares in the index ended higher while 48 closed lower.

RVNL was top gainer in the NIFTY Midcap 100 index, the stock rose 5.42% to close at ₹431.80. Supreme Industries (4.70%), Astral (4.46%), Bank of Maharashtra (4.19%) and Oberoi Realty (3.51%) were also among the gainers.

On the other hand, Vodafone Idea dropped 8.41% to close at ₹6.75 after Supreme Court dismissed their writ petitions seeking exemption from interest and penalties on Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) dues, calling the plea “shocking” and “misconceived.”

GMR Airports (-3.96%), PB Fintech (-3.48), Premier Energies (-3.21%) and LIC Housing Finance (-3.19%) were also among the laggards.

NIFTY Smallcap 100 index outperformed its larger peers as the index rose 0.51% or 89 points to close at 17,649.65. As many as 57 shares in the index ended higher while 43 closed lower.

Delhivery was top gainer in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index. The stock closed 10.14% higher at ₹353 after it turned profitable in fourth quarter of financial year 2024-25 as it reported a net profit of ₹73 crore against loss of ₹68 crore in the same period last year. Its revenue from operations during the Q4 rose 6% to ₹2,192 crore versus ₹2,075 crore.

Zen Technologies (5%), Aegis Logistics (4.78%), CESC (4.66%) and IRCON (4.61%) were also among the gainers.

On the flipside, Credit Access Grameen (-6.95%), Inventurus Knowledge Solutions (-3.91%), Godfrey Philips (-3.49%), Shyam Metaliks (-3.20%) and Jupiter Wagons (-3.10%) were among losers in the NIFTY Smallcap 100 index.
