The Indian equity benchmarks came off intraday highs and were trading on a flat note on Tuesday, April 29, as gains in Reliance Industries, Larsen & Toubro, Eternal, Tech Mahindra and Bharti Airtel were offset with losses in HDFC Bank, ITC, UltraTech Cement, Power Grid and ICICI Bank. The 30-share SENSEX fell as much as 539 points from the day's highest level and NIFTY50 index touched an intraday low of 24,290.75 after hitting high of 24,457.65. As of 12:10 pm, SENSEX traded 36 points to 80,254 and NIFTY50 index declined 10 points to 24,318.

Here are top buzzing stocks in trade on Tuesday:
Reliance Industries: Shares of the country's most valuable company rose for second straight session on Tuesday. The stock rose as much as 2.77% to hit an intraday high of ₹1,406.

Investors' wealth in Reliance Industries surged by ₹1.31 lakh crore in two trading sessions after it reported strong set of earnings in March quarter post market hours on Friday. Market capitalisation or the sum-total value of outstanding shares of Reliance Industries surged to ₹18.90 lakh crore, at the day’s highest level, on Tuesday, April 29, from its Friday's market capitalisation of ₹17.59 lakh crore, data from the BSE showed.

The sharp up move in market capitalisation came after billionaire Mukesh Ambani-backed company surpassed street estimates in January-March quarter. The oil-to-telecom conglomerate reported net profit of ₹19,407 crore, marking an increase of 2.41% from ₹18,951 crore logged in the same period last year. Analysts were expecting the company to report net profit in range of ₹18,471-₹18,820 crore.

PNB Housing Finance: Shares of the housing finance company rose as much as 10% to hit an intraday high of ₹1,085.40 after the company reported a 25.3% increase in its consolidated net profit at ₹550.38 crore for the March quarter of the financial year 2024-25. Its profit for the same period last year was at ₹439.25 crore.

The housing finance firm’s interest income for Q4 FY25 also advanced 13% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹1,906 crore as against ₹1,693 crore reported in the corresponding quarter last fiscal year.

During the quarter under review, the net interest income (NII) grew 16.2% to ₹734 crore as against ₹632 crore in Q4 FY24. The net interest margin (NIM) increased to 3.75% as compared to 3.65% in Q4 FY24.

Tata Motors: Shares of Tata Motors rallied as much as 2.19% to ₹683 apiece on the BSE in the early trade on Tuesday, April 29. The company on Monday said its board will later this week consider a proposal to raise up to ₹500 crore through the issuance of securities on a private placement basis.

A meeting of the duly constituted Committee of the Board of Directors of the company is scheduled to be held on May 2 to consider and approve the issuance of rated, listed, unsecured, redeemable, non-convertible debentures on a private placement basis aggregating up to ₹500 crore, the automaker said in a regulatory filing.

The company did not share details of how it plans to utilise the raised capital.

Tata Technologies: Shares of Tata Technologies fell as much as 6.11% to hit an intraday low of ₹662.75 after multiple block deals. According to news reports, 3.95% equity of the company changed hands in a block deal.
As per a CNBC-TV18 report, as many as 1.6 crore shares, or 3.95% equity, changed hands in the large block trade. The block deal is reported to be worth ₹1,094 crore.

The transaction took place at ₹683 per share, the report added.

Earlier, news reports had said that TGP Rise Climate would sell as many as 1.59 crore shares of Tata Technologies via block deals today.

Whirlpool of India: The white goods maker rose as much as 10.81% to hit an intraday high of ₹1,329 after a report by The Economic Times suggested that private equity are showing interest in acquiring stake in the company.
Gensol Engineering: Shares of Gensol Engineering tanked 5 per cent to hit a fresh lower circuit limit on Tuesday due to ongoing crisis at the firm.

The stock of the firm dropped 4.97 per cent to Rs 82.20 -- the lowest trading permissible limit for the day as also its 52-week low on the BSE.

Shares of the firm fell 5 per cent to hit its lower circuit as well as a 52-week low level of Rs 81.36 on the NSE.

This is the 14th day of decline for the stock.

Hexaware Technologies: Shares of Hexaware Technologies rose as much as 3.68% to hit an intraday high of ₹727.85 after it reported March quarter earnings. The company's net profit of ₹327 crore in March quarter, marking an upside of 17.20% from ₹279 crore in the year-ago period.
