The Navratna PSU firm net sales for Q4 FY25 increased 57.11% to ₹1,308.28 crore as compared to ₹832.7 crore in Q4 FY24.
For the March quarter, the earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) grew 47.46% to ₹200.03 crore in March 2025 from ₹135.65 crore in Q4 FY24.
The PSU’s margin saw a marginal contraction from 14% last year to 13.7%.
Railtel’s earnings per share (EPS) have increased to ₹3.53 in March 2025 from ₹2.42 in March 2024.
Following this, shares of the company were trading at ₹332.75 apiece, surging 12.4%.
RailTel shares in the last five trading sessions rose over 8.3%. Over a month’s time, the stock has gained nearly 7%.
However, for a six-month period, since November 4, 2024, the shares of the firm have declined 19.6%. Year-to-date, the scrip lost 19%.
The market capitalisation of the company stood at ₹10,576.53 crore.
RailTel shares had touched their 52-week high of ₹617.8 apiece on July 12, 2024. Its one-year low was seen on March 3, 2025, at ₹265.50 per share.
Last month, the Navratna PSU company had bagged multiple work orders, including one from the Border Security Force (BSF) and two from the State Transport Authority of Odisha, totalling ₹311.68 crore.
The work order from the BSF is worth ₹19.08 crore (or ₹19,08,82,886) and involves the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning (SITC) of hardware and software for BSF’s cloud network.
The company had also received two work orders from the State Transport Authority of India worth ₹262.34 crore and ₹30.26 crore last month.
RailTel was incorporated on September 26, 2000, with the aim of modernising the telecom system for train control, operation, and safety and to generate additional revenues by creating a nationwide broadband and multimedia network and laying optical fibre cable using the right of way along railway tracks.
