PNB Housing Finance shares jump 7% after firm reports strong Q4 numbers

PNB Housing Finance shares on Tuesday, April 29, soared 7% as the company reported a 25.3% increase in its consolidated net profit at ₹550.38 crore for the March quarter of the financial year 2024-25. Its profit for the same period last year was at ₹439.25 crore.

The housing finance firm’s interest income for Q4 FY25 also advanced 13% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹1,906 crore as against ₹1,693 crore reported in the corresponding quarter last fiscal year.

During the quarter under review, the net interest income (NII) grew 16.2% to ₹734 crore as against ₹632 crore in Q4 FY24. The net interest margin (NIM) increased to 3.75% as compared to 3.65% in Q4 FY24.

At 11 AM, shares of PNB Housing Finance were seen at ₹1,052.15 apiece, jumping 6.68% on NSE.

In the reporting quarter, the augmented collections efforts led to an improvement in the housing finance firm’s gross and net non-performing assets (NPA) to 1.08% and 0.69%, respectively.

The company’s assets under management (AUM) rose 13% year-on-year to ₹80,397 crore in Q4 FY25. Sequentially, it increased 5%.

“Focus on affordable and emerging market segments led to higher growth in retail loan assets,” PNB Housing Finance said in a statement.

Apart from releasing its March quarter numbers, the firm also said that it has recommended a final dividend of ₹5 per equity share with a face value of ₹10 each for the financial year ending March 31, 2025.

The firm has recovered ₹49 crore from the retail written-off pool and ₹106 crore (approximately) from the corporate written-off pool in Q4 FY25.

Share price

Shares of PNB Housing Finance opened at ₹1,060 apiece on Tuesday. It had touched an intraday high of ₹1,084.85 and a low of ₹1,027.70.

Over the last five trading days, the share has gained over 5.2%. For a month’s period, the stock has rallied over 20.4%.

Since October 29, 2024, that is six months; PNB Housing Finance has jumped 14%. Year-to-date, it has surged almost 15.5%.

The stock had touched its 52-week high on September 13, 2024, at ₹1,202.20 per share. Its one-year low was of ₹616.60 apiece, touched on June 4, 2024.

It has gained almost 71% since its one-year low.

Market capitalisation of the company stands at ₹27,380.50 crore.
