Jewellery stocks rise as gold price eases; PC Jeweller up 9%, Senco Gold climbs 5%

Jewellery stocks rose on Tuesday after gold prices decreased by ₹280 to ₹90,543 per 10 grams in the national capital.

The precious metal of 24 karat had closed at ₹90,823 per 10 grams on Monday.

Shares of PC Jeweller rose 8.77% to ₹13.65 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at 11:25 am. Its market capitalisation stood at ₹8,668.61 crore.
Kalyan Jewellers shares were trading 1.1% higher at ₹491.8 on the NSE. Intraday, it rose as much as 3.84% to ₹505 per unit.

Senco Gold climbed 5% to ₹303.1, while Motisons Jewellers gained 4.4% to ₹17.68 per share.

The Titan Company stock rallied 3.7% to ₹3,134. The firm posted around 25% year-on-year growth in standalone revenue for the latest March quarter and around 21% for the financial year 2024-25. Titan's (consolidated) retail network expanded by 72 stores (net) in Q4 FY25 to reach 3,312 stores.

The firm's retail segment, which contributed 81.5% of its total revenue, reported 50% YoY growth in the fourth quarter. "This performance underscores strong consumer demand and operational excellence across our store network," the company said.

Benchmark indices were also trading in the green. SENSEX jumped 449 points to 73,589, while NIFTY50 ascended 0.87% to 22,354.

In the NIFTY50 pack, Shriram Finance, Titan, Eicher Motors, Grasim, State Bank of India, Infosys, and Jio Financial Services were the top gainers.

Power Grid, Hindalco, Trent, HDFC Bank, Hero MotoCorp, Nestle India, and SBI Life were the laggards.

In Asian markets, Hong Kong's Hang Seng, Tokyo's Nikkei 225 index, and South Korea's Kospi leaped after falling sharply on Monday.

According to the exchange data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) on Monday sold equities worth ₹9,040.01 crore, while domestic institutional investors or DIIs purchased shares worth ₹12,122.45 crore.
