HAL share price: Defence PSU Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd's shares rose on Tuesday, April 1, after it posted a ₹30,400 crore revenue (provisional and unaudited) for the financial year that ended March 31, 2025, reflecting a marginal increase from ₹30,381 crore in the previous fiscal.

The stock climbed 5.97% to ₹4,426.65 crore on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at 9:21 am. Its market capitalisation stands at ₹2,95,504.92 crore.

The accomplishment comes despite a shortfall in the deliveries of Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH) and Light Combat Aircraft (LCA), DK Sunil, Chairman and Managing Director of HAL, said.

"The deliveries of LCA were affected due to the non-availability of engines. The ALH delivery schedule too got hit due to the accident in January 2025 and the subsequent grounding of the fleet. However, the deliveries of other products and services were accelerated, which helped us to maintain the top line," he stated.

The state-run firm's order book swelled to ₹1,84,000 crore by the end of FY25, compared to the opening order book position of ₹94,129 crore, according to an exchange filing on March 31.

It also added capacities as additional lines for Hindustan Turbo Trainer-40 (HTT-40) and LCA apart from augmenting the aero engine capacity at Koraput.

During the fiscal year 2024-25, HAL secured new manufacturing contracts of ₹1,02,000 crore and repair and overhaul (ROH) contracts of 17,500 crore.

Recently, the company inked a ₹62,777 crore contract with the Ministry of Defence for the supply of 156 LCH Prachand, which is its single biggest procurement by the Defence Ministry to date.

In FY25, the company also achieved 'Maharatna' status, signed contracts for the supply of an additional 12 Su-30 MKI aircraft, 240 AL31FP engines, a mid-life upgrade (MLU) of 40 Do-228 aircraft, and an avionics upgrade of an IL-78 aircraft.

"With the supply chain issues stabilising, new orders in hands and enhancement of capacities, the firm is gearing up for more robust physical and financial performance in the FY2025-26," HAL said.
