Bank of Baroda reported its March quarter business update for the 2024-25 fiscal year (Q4FY25) on Thursday, April 3.
The public sector bank’s global business rose 11.44% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹27.03 lakh crore as of March 31, 2025, compared to ₹24.25 lakh crore in the year-ago period.
Shares of Bank of Baroda surged 3.02% to an intra-day high of ₹238.50 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday.
Its global advances stood at ₹12.31 lakh crore, jumping 12.88% YoY from ₹11.73 lakh crore in Q4FY24. Meanwhile, its domestic advances were at ₹12.31 lakh crore, up 13.70% from ₹8.98 lakh crore.
Bank of Baroda’s global deposits increased by 10.25% to stand at ₹14.72 lakh crore in the period under review, in contrast to ₹13.35 lakh crore in the fourth quarter of the 2023-24 fiscal year (Q4FY24). Its domestic deposits grew 9.28% YoY to ₹12.42 lakh crore as against ₹11.37 lakh crore.
The Vadodara-headquartered bank said that its bank retail advances, excluding pool purchase, stood at ₹2.57 lakh crore in Q4FY25, rising 19.38% YoY from ₹2.15 lakh crore in Q4FY24.
Bank of Baroda shares closed in the green at ₹236.78 apiece, up 2.27% on the NSE on Thursday.
The scrip has risen 3.73% since Monday, April 1 and 15.96% in March. However, the stock is down 1.51% on a year-to-date basis.
Bank of Baroda share hit its 52-week low of ₹190.70 on March 4, 2025 and a high of ₹299.70 on June 3, 2024.
Bank of Baroda has a total market capitalisation of ₹1.22 lakh crore as of April 3, 2025, on the NSE.
Bank of Baroda’s net profit for the December quarter of FY25 (Q3FY25) stood at ₹4,837 crore, jumping 5.6% YoY from ₹4,579 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Its net interest income (NII) rose 2.8% to ₹11,417 crore, compared to ₹11,101 crore in Q3FY24.
