BEML shares tank 10% on reporting ₹22 crore net loss in Q3, interim dividend declared

BEML share price: Shares of heavy earthmoving equipment maker BEML Ltd tanked as much as 10.1% to an intraday low of ₹1,570 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday, February 6, after it reported its earnings for the third quarter of the 2025-26 financial year (Q3FY26).

The stock closed 6.68% lower at ₹1,629.50 per equity share on Friday.

The scrip has lost more than 9% in the past week and 12% over the month. On a year-to-date basis, it has declined by nearly 12%.

While the stock hit a 52-week high of ₹2,437.40 on June 23, 2025, it touched a year’s low of ₹1,175 apiece on March 3, 2025.

BEML Q3 results

The company posted a consolidated net loss of ₹22.38 crore for the October-December quarter of FY26, compared to the net profit of ₹24.41 crore it logged in the year-ago period.

Its revenue from operations, however, surged 23.7% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹1,083.27 crore during the quarter under review, as against ₹875.77 crore in the third quarter of the 2024-25 fiscal year (Q3FY25).

At an operational level, its EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation), also known as operating profit, stood at ₹4 crore in Q3FY26, marking a sharp 94.07% decline from ₹60 crore in the same period of FY25.

Its EBITA margin contracted to 0.33% for the reporting quarter, in comparison to 6.89% in the December quarter of FY25.

BEML board declares dividend

The company's Board of Directors also declared an interim dividend of ₹2.50 per share (i.e., 50% of paid-up share capital) for the FY26.

The firm also fixed February 13, 2026, as the record date for the payment of the interim dividend.

BEML has a total market capitalisation of ₹13,493.65 crore, as of February 6, 2026, according to data on the NSE.
