Gold rate in India: 24K gold price falls below ₹95,500 in local markets amid rise in US dollar; check prices in your city

Gold prices are trading lower in early morning trade in domestic markets on Friday, April 25. At 2:00 pm, 24K gold traded at ₹95,280 per 10 grams, down ₹910/ 10 gram compared to yesterday’s closing, while 22K gold was at ₹87,340 per 10 gram in the local markets.

A rebound in the US dollar index compared to a basket of other currencies may have weighed on gold prices. The US Dollar index trades 0.5% higher at 99.58. Meanwhile, signs of some ease in the US-China trade war may have also reduced the appeal for safe-haven assets. A higher dollar tends to lower demand for gold, as it makes the metal more expensive to investors holding foreign currencies.

In New Delhi markets, the 24K gold rate stood at ₹95,390 per 10 gram and 22K gold at ₹87,441 per 10 gram.

MCX Gold futures also traded lower today. As of 9:30 am, the MCX Gold June future was down 0.53% at ₹95,400 per 10 gram, with a day high of ₹96,239 and day low of ₹95,305. MCX gold is mirroring the losses witnessed in the international gold prices in early morning trades. In the US markets, Gold futures for June delivery were trading 0.5% or $18 lower at $3,331 an ounce.

Silver Price Today in India (April 25, 2025)

Silver prices are also trading lower in the local market, around ₹97,750 per kg, down 0.29%. Meanwhile, MCX Silver for May delivery trades 0.37% lower at ₹97,151 per kg as of 9:30 am, while international silver prices trade around $33.3 per troy ounce, down 0.19%.
