Gold and silver price on May 5: 24k Gold rate at ₹93,060 per 10 gram in Mumbai; check prices in your city

Gold prices are trading higher on Monday, May 5. At 9:45 am, the 24K gold rate in the local market stood at ₹93,360 per 10 gram, up ₹360/ 10 gram compared to yesterday’s closing, while 22K gold was at ₹85,580 per 10 gram.

Yellow metal started the week on a positive note as a weaker US dollar index supported the prices. The US dollar index trades 0.40% lower at 99.45 against baskets of foreign currencies.

Despite today’s rise investors remain cautious ahead of the Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision later this week. As per experts, the US Fed is expected to keep interest rates unchanged as the US central bank has adopted a cautious stance to assess the impact of Trump tariffs on inflation.

In New Delhi markets, the 24K gold rate stood at ₹92,900 per 10 gram and 22K gold at ₹85,158 per 10 gram.

MCX Gold futures is also trading higher, mirroring the gains witnessed in the international gold prices in early morning trades. As of 9:45 am, the MCX Gold June future was up 0.5% at ₹93100 per 10 gram, with a day high of ₹93,340 and day low of ₹92,925. In the US markets, Gold futures for June delivery were trading 0.6% or $21 higher at $3,264 an ounce.

Silver Price Today in India (May 5, 2025)

Silver prices are trading marginally higher than in the local market, around ₹94,160 per kg, up 0.02%. Meanwhile, MCX Silver for July delivery trades 0.02% higher at ₹94080 per kg as of 9:45 am, while international silver prices trade around $32.3 per troy ounce, up 0.4%.
