Gold and Silver Price on April 8: 24K gold trades at ₹89,730 per 10 grams; check prices in your city

Gold prices in domestic markets traded marginally lower on Tuesday, April 8, in major cities. 24K gold traded at ₹89,730 per 10 grams and 22K gold at ₹82,250 per 10 grams, down by ₹600 over the last close.

Meanwhile, MCX Gold futures traded higher today. As of 11:00 am, the MCX Gold June future was up 0.85% at ₹87,671 per 10 gram, with a day high of ₹87,690 and day low of ₹87,353. MCX gold is mirroring the gains witnessed in the international gold prices in early morning trades. In the US markets, Gold futures for the June delivery were trading 1.4% or $41.9 higher at $3,015 an ounce.

International gold prices rebounded from yesterday’s low amid a fall in the US dollar index and increased demand for the safe haven assets. Investors are parking their funds in gold amid concerns over the global trade war, risks of higher inflation and slower economic growth.

In the coming days, investors will closely monitor for further insights into the Fed’s monetary policy outlook ahead of the minutes from the Federal Reserve’s latest policy meeting, due Wednesday, along with consumer inflation data on Thursday and the producer price report on Friday.
